Cleveland (April 19, 2023) – Burning River Roller Derby is happy to report that our league is coming back with greater numbers than we’ve had in years! Our increased numbers unfortunately mean that not everyone can be rostered for one of our travel teams, the Burning River All-Stars and Hazmat Crew. Due to this, BRRD is excited to announce that we will be bringing back some old programs.

Starting on May 13th, the league will be rebooting home teams! While the home teams won’t have the same structure as in the past, they will be a great opportunity to provide our unrostered skaters with more public gametime that families and friends can come watch.

The first game of the season will be at 1pm on May 13, 2023 at BRRD’s new summer home, the Cleveland Heights Community Center. Doors will open at 12pm for this bout and due to it being a single game, ticket prices are as follows: $15 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for children 6-12 years old.

The next game will be on June 10, 2023 and will be a double header event with the Cleveland Guardians Roller Derby team. Doors for this event will open at 12pm and the Guardians’ bout will begin at 1pm. Burning River’s home teams will take the track at 3pm. Since this is a double header, tickets will return to the usual prices as listed below.

The final home team games on the schedule will be on July 15, 2023. Doors will open at 12pm, the first game will begin at 1pm, and the second will begin at 3pm. Regular double header ticket prices will apply.
