In case you haven’t noticed, the BRRG travel teams have been kicking butts
left and right this season. Mother’s Day weekend was no exception. On Saturday, the Burning River All Stars pulled

off a win against the Tallahassee RollerGirls, 237 to 142, at BRRG’s home the Ohio Nets Sports Complex. The HazMat Crew followed suit, beating the Eerie Roller Girls 189 to 116. On Mother’s Day,

BRRG made our mommas proud by taking down the Fort Wayne Derby Girls at the Roll Arena in Elyria. The All Stars won 240 to 159 while the HazMat Crew came out ahead, 257 to 130. While the All Stars didn’t win during their closed-to-the-public bout versus the Demolition City Dynamite Dolls on

May 19 (final score 189 to 78), you can bet they’re already hard at work preparing to take down their next opponents when they play Queen City Roller Girls in Buffalo, NY on June 15. If you’re looking for a road trip, they’d love to see some friendly faces there or at this season’s final travel team games against NEO Roller Derby’s A and B teams at the Summit County Fairgrounds in Tallmadge, on July 13.

Perhaps the best way to support local roller derby is by donating to our page on Go Fund Me.   BRRG skaters are not paid to skate and all this travel can take a toll on our wallets. Any little bit you can contribute will go to sending the Burning

River All Stars to away bouts, necessary for competitive rankings within the WFTDA. Thanks to all our fans for your

support!
