What is the meaning behind your skater name?

Leia Flat... it's what I do.

What was your athletic background prior to playing roller derby?

20+ years riding & showing horses, college equestrian team, and rugby.

What aspect of derby do you enjoy the most?

Everything… the rush of the game, a solid hit, the workout, the team that becomes your family.

How did you get started in your roller derby career?

I found a newly formed league in Tampa at the end of 2005 and thought it sounded like a good time.
