What is the meaning behind your skater name?

I'm an angry monkey.

What was your athletic background prior to playing roller derby?

I did a fair bit of sportsing as a kid, but of course nothing quite like derby.

Is there a song that gets you pumped up before a bout?

Suicidal Tendencies - Possessed to Skate.

What aspect of derby do you enjoy the most?

My completely out of character answer is the drive to stay active; Wanting to rise above the beat downs is great motivation to cross train... and while we're at it, derby has changed me in more ways than I can put words to, but that desire to be athletic and strong is one of the most obvious traits that I owe to derby.

How did you get started in your roller derby career?

I think Burning River had a MySpace page that ended up in my sights. I knew I needed to go to a bout and once I was there I knew I needed to learn how to play.
