Get to know Crazy Hex Girlfriend...

What is the meaning behind your skater name?

I wanted something that referenced the Hex Girls from Scooby Doo and could be shortened to Hex. I really love witchy and spooky things and playing into the crazy ex trope is fun too.

What was your athletic background prior to playing roller derby?

I did a bunch of sports in high school but was never good at any of them. Outside of skating you can usually find me rock climbing!

What aspect of derby do you enjoy the most?

I just really enjoy the skating community in general.

How did you get started in your roller derby career?

On a night shift at work one of my mechanics was telling me how his best friend was a derby skater and he used to volunteer for BRRD. I signed up for Skater Tots that night!
